Karbid Wielkopolski w Smukale pod Bydgoszczą

Abstrakt

The chemical industry in Bydgoszcz in 1920-1939, although it was not the leading sector in the economy of the city, reported significant growth. One of the most important enterprises representing the chemical industry of the Bydgoszcz industrial center was Karbid Wielkopolski. In this article, the author presents the history of production plants in Smukała in the interwar period, taking into consideration the roots of the factory dating back to the Prussian times and its more recent history after 1939.
