Abstrakt

By opening the Memorial Chamber of the Martyrs, the Seminary of Bydgoszcz took responsibility for the historic memory about the martyrs from the region that is currently occupied by the Diocese of Bydgoszcz. Collections of the Memorial Chamber of the Martyrs include memorabilia related to the patron of the Seminary of the Diocese of Bydgoszcz, co-patron of the Diocese of Bydgoszcz, Blessed Bishop Michał Kozal. The chamber also features archival documents concerning the Blessed of the Diocese of Bydgoszcz Fr. Franciszek Dachtera, Blessed Fr. Antoni Świadek, seminarian Bronisław Kostkowski, Fr. Józef Schulz, Fr. Roman Budniak, and Fr. Włodzimierz Rabczewski. Other records of the Memorial Chamber of the Martyrs include materials concerning the issue of martyrdom and the Church during World War II and German occupation.
