The article presents a brief but effective activity of the Bydgoszcz Ski Club (Polish abbrev. BKN) in 1931-1939. Initially, it was the ski group of the Polish Sightseeing Society - Touring Club in Bydgoszcz, changed to BKN in 1932. The main activity of the Club was popularization of skiing among residents of the city through theoretical courses and physical preparation of beginners and advanced skiers in Bydgoszcz and the Kashubian Lake District (in Borkowo, Kartuzy area). It also involved training camps in the mountains (in Rajcza, Zwardoń, Bukowina Tatrzańska, Dolina Chochołowska, Krynica, and Zakopane during the International Ski Competition for the World Championship F.I.S. on February 11-19, 1939) and ski trips to the Western Beskids and Tatra Mountains, as well as participation in national ski events, including “Podkarpacie Railroad-Ski Rally Alongside the Carpathians” in 1933 and the period between the end of 1936 and the beginning of 1937.
