Koncerty Maryjne z Różą w kulturze Kościoła bydgoskiego

Abstrakt

The Marian Concerts with the Rose play a huge role in development of music culture in the city. Music lovers had an opportunity to listen to live music every day throughout a month, performed by parish choirs, academic choirs and many soloists cooperating with the most important music institutions of Bydgoszcz. Every concert was preceded with playing of the Marian Bugle Call from the tower of the Cathedral, service in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary - May devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and Holy Mass. The name of the concerts indicated that they were in some way an extension of Marian mystery, worshipping of Our Lady of Beautiful Love, Madonna with the Rose, patron saint of the Diocese of Bydgoszcz. An analysis of concert archives allowed to present all series of The Marian Concerts with the Rose. The article mentions choirs and soloists performing for five years of this event.
