Abstrakt

Celem badań jest omówienie stanu obecnego i analiza podejmowanych działań z zakresu turystyki zrównoważonej w Maroku. W ciągu ostatnich dziesięcioleci rząd marokański był aktywny we wspieraniu turystyki i zachęcaniu do zagranicznych inwestycji jako środka promowania rozwoju gospodarczego i społecznego. Jednocześnie podejmowane są aktywności na rzecz rozwoju turystyki mają miejsce w oparciu o następujące wartości: autentyczność, różnorodność, jakość, zrównoważony rozwój. Mimo niewątpliwych sukcesów w tym względzie rozwój turystyki stoi przed szeregiem wyzwań. Jednym z nich jest silnie skoncentrowane geograficzne rozmieszczenie turystów i mało jeszcze zróżnicowana oferta turystyczna. Nadmierna koncentracja działalności turystycznej na obszarach przybrzeżnych prowadzić może do ich degradacji. By temu przeciwdziałać wprowadza się szereg programów, które potwierdzają, że w przypadku Maroka priorytetem nie jest już tylko dążenie wyłącznie do rozwoju turystyki, ale do tego, by postęp w tej dziedzinie zachodził z uwzględnieniem zasad rozwoju zrównoważonego.
