Jolanta Ociepa (1953-2015)

Abstrakt

Jolanta Ociepa was a distinguished librarian of the Witold Bełza Regional and Municipal Public Library in Bydgoszcz. She graduated with a degree in librarianship and scientific information from the Wrocław University, and in 1987 she completed postgraduate Neo-Latin studies at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Łódź University. After graduation, she lived in Bydgoszcz. She started her professional career on September 17, 1976 in the Regional Public Librar0y in Bydgoszcz, where she was employed throughout her working life. She also fulfilled various library functions. In 1986, as a senior custodian, she became manager of the Department of Special Collections, where she worked for 25 years, until her retirement. She was particularly interested in the historical collection of Bydgoszcz Bernardines (Bibliotheca Bernardina). She was respected for her professional knowledge and experience, valued by many readers.
