Abstrakt

The Special Collections of the Voivodeship and Municipal Public Library in Bydgoszcz include a file (file No. RKP III 586). This file contains the certi ficate of death of Leon Wyczółkowski, and letters on making the §ravestone of Leon Wyczółkowski in Wtelno. Between these documents, there are letters from the years 1941-1943. These letters were sent by Franciszka Wyczólkowska to her friends - Kazimierz and Anna Szulisławski. During World War Two, evicted from the manor in Gościeradz, living in very bad conditions, artist Leon Wyczółkowskim widów tried - which is proved by these letters - to maintain contacts with the rest of the workl. with close people, who evoked, maybe, in her memory the happy years spent in the manor in Gościeradz and in the nearby forests with her husband - artist and the family of Kazimierz Szulisławski.
