Abstract

Franciszek Michał Wyszpolski was born on September 14, 1768 in Kozubów, Sandomierz Province. He was the son of Wawrzyniec, administrator of the local estate and Konstancja nee Garlicki. Most likely, during the 1790s, he married Franciszka Dąbrowska from Warsaw. In March 1808, Franciszek Wyszpolski served as captain in the 5th Infantry Regiment of the Duchy of Warsaw. After leaving the army, he worked for four years as mayor of Brześć Kujawski. In April 1812, he started to serve as mayor of Bydgoszcz. In September 1814, he was arrested for too slow assistance provided to military hospitals. In that time, Franciszek Wyszpolski was responsible for financial shortages in the city budget. In October 1816, he was acquitted. Most likely during the 1810s, he moved to Warsaw, where he lived on Zakroczymska Street. He died on July 24, 1837 in the Warsaw Hospital of the Holy Spirit.
