Postwar researchers have no doubts that Poles who lived in Upper Silesia and Gdańsk Pomerania were forcefully enrolled to quasi German category. The latter ones, having no other possibility to get involved in sports, decided to participate in activities organized by the Nazis. They cannot be criticized or blamed for that in the situation, when we know what lack of exercise and physical movement means to an athlete accustomed to training. In this case, it cannot be confirmed - with the exception of Lipno and Nakło - that clandestine sporting events were organized in the Gdańsk-Western Prussia region of the Third Reich.
