Abstract

Activities included conservation of three maps from the collection of the National Archive in Bydgoszcz. The preserved objects are part of the group of enfranchisement-regulatory maps of the General Commission dating from 1774-1910. These are maps of villages that were part of Poznań Province, including Sędowo, Bielawy and Palendzie Dolne. The purpose of the restoration was to preserve the original content and protect the maps from further deterioration. The most important activity was to support the weakened paper, which involved disassembly and relining with the use of high quality paper. Conservation and restoration works were focused on preserving the original matter and content as best as possible.
