Th e purpose of the article is to present several cities in Germany, which urban space features the monuments of “The Archer Lady” – some of them are originals, but there are also replicas of the statue cast in the early 20th century. Presenting the mentioned cities, the author gave up description of their main historic landmarks, which can be found in every tourist guide. The author’s intention was to show these cities from the perspective of their less known sites and facts or persons related to the described cities with “The Archer Lady.” This, on the other hand, makes that these cities take on a new dimension, and their main feature – presence of “The Archer Lady” statue, highlighted in the article, constitutes a unique added value. One of the symbols of Bydgoszcz is (or perhaps was?!) “The Archer Lady”statue. Until 1989 and in the decade that followed, photographs of this statue appeared in books and on postcards. These days (beginning of the 2nd decade of the 21st century),the statue has been dominated by otherobjects that appeared in the municipal public space(vide “Man Crossing the River”).The statue and its creator deserve to be better known. A tour of the cities with “The Archer Lady” can encourage visitors to check if the statue is perceived as a symbol of the city in any of these German cities.
