Abstract

The author explained the mystery behind the World War II grave in the cemetery of the Bydgoszcz Parish of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. For many years, it has been cared for by the local Council for the Protection of Remembrance of Struggle and Martyrdom. It was a burial site of Attilio Soldan, an Italian prisoner-of-war who was kept in the German camp of Solec Kujawski, established for the purpose of construction of a river shipyard on the Vistula River.
