Formation of the subject field of a source study of a historiography in Russia

Abstract

In a paper analyzes the epistemological situation in Russian historiography, actualized the problem of classification of historiographical sources. The attention on the way, allowing to clear up variety of types of the presented historical knowledge is focused. For realization of a research task, three questions are considered: 1) factors which staticize application of source study approach to history of history; 2) formation of the subject field of a source study of a historiography; 3) classification of historiographic sources. According to the type presented in the historiographical sources of historical knowledge they should be divided into two groups: 1) group of kinds of historiographic sources of scientific history; 2) group of kinds of historiographic sources of a socially oriented historical writing. Source study approach allows to reveal and analyze those kinds of historiographic sources which are aimed at formation of social memory and to ensure the identity of the societies in which, respectively, is presented to the socially oriented history.
