In the Day before of the Christianization of Lithuania. About the Project of the Marriage of Jagiello with the Daughter of Dymitr Doński One More Time

Abstract

Once again in historiography the author raises an issue of planning the marriage of Great Lithuanian Prince Jagiello with the daughter of Dmitriy Donskoy. He takes a stance to scientist’s opinions which adopt credibility of notation from Ambassadorial Prikaz from 1626 and corrects their settlements. He analysesthe latest hypothetis of D. Baronas who wrote that they did not planned any Lithuanian-Moscovian marriage and preserved sources was an effect of antilithuanian, Moscovian propaganda. The author came to a conclusion that arguments of the Lithuanian historian are not convincing
