Tematem artykułu jest polityka inwestycyjna i pomocy rozwojowej USA wobec Kenii w drugiej dekadzie XXI w. W pierwszej części artykułu omówiono inwestycje amerykańskich przedsiębiorstw w Kenii, a także programy rządów Kenii i USA ukierunkowane na poprawę warunków inwestowania w tym kraju. W drugiej części omówiono wsparcie rozwojowe udzielone Kenii i jej mieszkańcom przez agencje rządowe USA. Główne pytanie badawcze dotyczy tego, czy poziom amerykańskiego wsparcia inwestycyjnego i rozwojowego był znaczący oraz jakie są perspektywy współpracy w tych obszarach w przyszłości? Główna hipoteza artykułu zakłada, że w minionej dekadzie współpraca inwestycyjna i rozwojowa między USA a Kenią realizowana była na stosunkowo wysokim poziomie, ale jej możliwości są znacznie większe. W najbliższych latach Kenia może wzmocnić pozycję jednego z najważniejszych partnerów gospodarczych USA w Afryce, m.in. w zakresie inwestycji i pomocy rozwojowej.
