General Data Protection Regulations Notice

Pursuant to Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (GDPR), we hereby inform that:

1. The personal data is administered by Kazimierz Wielki University, ul. Chodkiewicza 30, 85-064 Bydgoszcz, Poland. 

2. The Data Protection Officer appointed by the administrator may be contacted electronically at: iod@ukw.edu.pl. 

3. Personal data will be processed in connection with the publishing activities of the Heteroglossia journal, especially with reference to the purposes of submission, peer review and publication of articles, papers, reviews, reports, research results, and other agreed materials. 

4. Following publication, the data will be transferred to indexing databases and to the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

5. Personal data will not be transferred to third countries (i.e. countries outside the European Union) or to international organisations other than those indicated in point 4 above. 

6. The legal basis for the processing of personal data is the consent of the data subject. Consent may be withdrawn at any time prior to the publication of the text, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before its withdrawal. Following publication, the legal basis for processing shall be the applicable legal regulations. 

7. The data will be stored until any withdrawal of consent and, following publication, for the period resulting from applicable legal regulations and archiving policies. 

8. The data subject has the right to access their personal data, to rectify such data, and to request the restriction or cessation of processing in cases provided for by law. 

9. The data subject also has the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority; the supervisory authority is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office. 

10. Providing personal data is voluntary; however, failure to provide such data will make participation in the peer-review process or publication in Heteroglossia impossible. 

11. Personal data will not be used for automated decision-making or profiling.

Consent to Personal Data Processing 

I hereby declare that I provide my personal data voluntarily and consent to their processing by Kazimierz Wielki University in connection with participation in the publishing process of the journal Heteroglossia, in particular for the purposes of submission, peer review, and publication of my text or other agreed materials.
