Abstract

This text analyzes the opinions of female and male students who are involved in students’ research groups. The article presents the personality traits, values, and behaviors that are shaped through participation in students’ research groups. The study indicates that the most commonly developed traits are communication, creativity, goal orientation, diligence, responsibility, effectiveness, openness, and inquisitiveness. The analysis also shows that academic clubs can foster other positive qualities such as collaboration, conscientiousness, and motivation. Nevertheless, 12% of respondents recognize the possibility of developing negative traits such as pride, selfishness, arrogance, and jealousy. Generally, membership in students’ research groups is perceived as beneficial for the personal and social development of students.
