The demands of the UN Convention on the Rights of persons with disabilities in the dimension of education as a determinant of preparing children and young people with disabilities to live independent, dignified and valuable lives in adulthood

The current social reality confronts the education system with new tasks and challenges. The solution of these
tasks and challenges should not only correspond to the expected level of civilization, but most of all to humanistic aspects of the existence of every human being, regardless of their social and psychophysical situation. This statement means that the disabled people have the inalienable right to development and education in the mainstream system of education, inclusion and integration with other members of society. Many opportunities for equality and access to education on the basis of respect for the identity of the rights result from the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (2006), set out in Article 24 “Education”. Hence, the modern education system taking into account the civilization novelty is faced with challenges and tasks to prepare students with disabilities to to live independent, dignified and valuable lives without the stigma of psychophysical or social disability
