Between applied ethnochoreology and dance ethnopedagogy. An example of interdisciplinary longitudinal action research

The presented study refers to a niche research area located “in-between” dance ethnography, or in other terms–ethnochorelogy, and dance ethnopedagogy developed and promoted by the author in Polish education. In the described project, ethnochoreological and ethnopedagogical longitudinal action research was applied. This method is widely used in engaged, participatory social research, and in its essence and methodology shows a far-reaching affinity with the practice of cultural animation. The process of stagedre construction of dance traditions on the multi ethnic borderland of north-eastern and central-eastern Poland became the leading topic of considered research.
