Education in the situation of civilisation changes

Change is currently one of the most widely used terms, through which one attempts to describe, characterize, analyse or explain a number of phenomena taking place in the modern world. One of the ways to help man find themselves in this complex present is education. Education provides opportunities to understand the world that surrounds us, the changes that occur in it, but also the changes that are happening within ourselves, as members of certain professional and social groups, certain nations, as the inhabitants of the „global village”, but also as fully autonomous individuals. This applies both to children and youth education as well as the education of adults, who are in the period of professional activity or the so-called third age. This applies to school education, but also after-school, general and vocational education, implemented in specially established institutions or independently. Recognizing the in evitability of changes, this paper highlights the role of education in preparing individuals to live and work in a world of change.
