Analysis of children's art works from the perspective of the classic perception of beauty

The main purpose of the presented considerations is to show the features of a child’s creation, referring to The Great Theory of Beauty, the main determinants of which are: proportion, symmetry, harmony and order.The analysis is an attempt to answer the question if children creating their unhampered art works aim at the original canon of beauty, the knowledge of which is the basis of all artistic projects. The considerations are preceded by a short introduction, mainly including the phenomenon of a definitional polyphony of the concept of beauty, as well as the analyzed and presented essence of the problem. The first chapter of this work is an attempt to show the main determinants of the classical theory of beauty, with a general, although necessary justification of these considerations. The next chapter should be considered as the real analysis of children’s selected art works including the basic categories. The third chapter is the summary of the presented analysis.
