Ken Wilber – the passion for growth

Presented text is, according to the author’s knowledge first attempt to bring the profile of Ken Wilber and the exceptional message of his integral philosophy near to the educators circle in Poland. The place of Wilber’s thought on the contemporary paradigms map still remains undecided. This text is a reconstruction of the framework of integral model through the category of development. In order to attain that this reconstruction expose the main categories of integral model of development and the theory of integral life practice. The intention of this article is also to put the Wilber’s integral model in the context of contemporary educational discussions and to show his educational potential and the field of his educational applications. At the end of article I carry on a controversy with the statement extracted from Z. Bauman work Consuming life, proclaims that the concept of integrated personality belongs to the typical superstition of our times. Thus my introductory considerations of difficulties in reception of Wilber’s work are in force.
