The end of authenticity? Constructions of pop-reality in the American society

Abstract

The aim of the article is to present an influence of contemporary popular culture on young generation and also describe and analyze social constructions of pop-reality in the United States. The special emphasize is put on spheres of life like: religion, policy, law and sport. The author compares social constructions of identity in the past and now, when educational and cultural values are changed rapidly. Finally the author answers the question: do we really have the end of authenticity.
