Motivational context of education

Motivation is a theoretical construct relating to the inner states of a person. People intuitively try to use it to explain successes, failures, undertaking, maintaining or abandoning actions. As a theoretical construct, it is a human disposition. According to the fundamental attribution error, teachers may attribute students’ poor performance to their intrinsic factors (eg. lack of
motivation, laziness). The following article presents the contexts of education that naturally arouse a desire to act/learn in a human being. According to the views of Dean R. Spitzer (1996), learning can become enjoyable thanks to the context in which it takes place. The most important contextual factors are: action, fun, variety, choice, social interaction, fault tolerance, rating system, constructive feedback, challenges and recognition
