Sport in the prospect of the education process

The aim of this study is to portray sport in categories of the social good, the civilization phenomenon and its
ancillary value with regard to bringing the man up towards full development. Values present in sport, as well as attitudes, relations occurring within it or moral and social principles can be treated as a specific “means” of education of young and not only young sport adepts. The research material was gathered by means of surveys and interviews and the obtained statements were systematized according to the prepared key. Quality testing methods were applied, referring to the phenomenological and hermeneutic method as well as the method of the diagnostic survey. Research groups consisted of coaches and instructors, students of sports colleges; physical education teachers; athletes;academic teachers of physical education. In total 180 persons, who gave essential response to the research questions, took part in the study.
