This article examines threats to the routing system in MANETs, which require specialized protocols due to their dynamic structure and lack of a central network management point. Using the ns-3 simulator, a simulator was defined to allow for testing several attacks typical of this network. Simulation results were also analyzed, demonstrating that MANETs are vulnerable to specific attacks that significantly compromise their security
