Ignores Integration? Local Government Libraries of the Northern Part of the Province Lubuskie towards Social Inclusion of Refugees from Ukraine – Research Report

Abstract

This article discusses the model of a multicultural library as a determinant of an institution with international reach. In further consideration, the theme of social integration as a determinant of intercultural dialogue of the majority group with the minority group is addressed. The actions signaled by the library community on providing assistance to war refugees from Ukraine were pointed out. The results of survey research on activities integrating forced migrants into the local community from the perspective of local government libraries of the northern part of Lubuskie province are presented. The need to transform bookstores into multicultural libraries accessible to every user is discussed.
