Abstract

Reality forces us to adapt to constant changes. This also applies to vocational counselling and advisers who every day face new problems not only with rising unemployment, but also with the changes taking place in terms of future career planning as well as the functioning of the labour market. It should be emphasized that the contemporary development of vocational counselling is dictated, among other things, by the fact of adequate choices, relevant areas of career functioning of contemporary man; but also defining the value of the resource of components required in the labour market, representing a specific product, which employee can sell the employer. People who are in the labour market and those who are entering it, not only need professional support, but also a reorientation, which helps to adapt to the progressive changes in employment and the functioning of modern man in the socio-economic situation in the era of permanent transformations.
