generative artificial intelligence (AI) in education, students’ attitudes towards generative AI in education, benefits and risks of generative artificial intelligence in education, the future of educationAbstract
This article focuses on outlining the potential benefits and risks of implementing generative artificial intelligence in education and aims to determine the level of knowledge of high school students about generative artificial intelligence. Moreover, it explores students’ attitudes towards the tools offered by this technology in the context of its application in education. The survey was cross-sectional and was conducted using a diagnostic survey. The analysis of the survey results shows that the vast majority of the interviewed students rated their knowledge of generative artificial intelligence highly; however, despite seeing the potential of implementing generative artificial intelligence in education, the students are concerned about data security and the possible
limitation of their creativity while using the tools offered by generative artificial intelligence.
