Competencies supporting transition from education to work – based on social innovation „Profile Z”

Abstract

The paper focuses on presentation of the importance of transition skills that are suppportive in transition from education to work. The outcomes of the social innovation „Profile Z” that was tested in 2017–2018 are presented in the paper. The purpose of the social innovation „Profile Z” was targeted on the profiling competencies that are of importance in successful transition form education to work. It also adressed standards of supporting these competencies in a joint effort of representatives of educators, employers and Z generation. An important part of the paper is a presentation of various approaches of educators, employers and Z generation to competencies that are important in transition. A competency profile that was developed and reconciled by these three groups is also presented in the paper.
