Abstract

There are many definitions of work, sometimes dependent on the field that deals with this concept. In the economic sense, work is man’s conscious activity which is oriented towards generating goods. It then involves both physical and mental activities. Beyond land and capital, according to the father of economics, Adam Smith, work is an important factor of production, that is, a good which is necessary for the production of other goods.Modern science of man wants at all costs to uproot him from the environment in which he lives, show him new horizons, and dazzle him with new possibilities created by technology in order to re-create him. Officially, the aim is to create a „perfect man”, free from any boundaries related to nature. In this way, new perspectives and a new vision of work are created, which will not only satisfy man’s needs, but change him.
